Good Morning!

Top of the morning to ya!

I just wanted to wish everyone good luck on today's test!

And I also wanted to offer a quick suggestion...For the next test could we make a study group? We should help each other pass this class and a study group would help tremendously.

P.S. Last nights program about xenophobia was great!

See you all later!

Test

It seems to me that a lot of the information from the presentations was kind of "lost in translation" for me. Sometimes things were just really scattered for me and I don't think I got as much out of it as I could. Not to say that it's the presenters' fault or anything, it's just how I felt. But good luck to everyone on the test!

Test II

I think this test like the previous test was very practical and and easily understood. All it took was just reading over the material that she suggested. I love that she goes over the material before she lays it out on the test. I was better prepared for this test than I was the first one. She made mention though, that it was imperative that we familiarize ourselves with how each ethnic group came into this country, by what means and what was the push, pull factors that lead to the departure from their country. However I didn't see hardly any of those questions. I kept looking to answer a question with Angel and or Ellis island. I was ready for things like ethoviolence, maquiladoras, Arid Agriculture and Arid Architecture and something referencing to Du Bois. You know I just thought about it she may have asked something in relation to these in the 16 questions that she left off.

  Barbara Farley-Burns  says:
I thought the exam covered a lot of material. Some was from her class lectures and other was from our text. As she stated, we must attend her class. Although, she may have left off some questions, we still had a total of sixty questions. As for me, it does not matter about the questions she left off. We gained some valuable information that will remain with us a life time.

  Brandi Blackstock  says:
I thought test two was just as fair as the last test. However, I felt like this test covered much more material. With that being said, I felt like the material covered in this section was much more interesting than the previous section. It has been really need learning about all the different ethnic groups and their cultures. Its amazing to think what all these different groups of people went through and suffered in order for us all to be here today. Like previously mentioned by our professor, all these groups worked hard. If these groups had not worked hard we would not still know and see them today. This class and material have really been a true eye opener.

  Nhu Doan  says:
I thought that this test was like the first test, very fair and covers a lot of information. I was expecting it to cover more of the terms and contributions though. And it was funny how she had the answers on the last page of the test.
