Exam

I was wondering that we should read the chapters for the exam, becuase she told us it will be on the exam. What about the notes she gave us in the class time do you think that we have to study both of the materials to prepare for the exam?
Last class meeting

I am so sorry that I had to miss class. My sister-n-law have been dealing with breast cancer since January of last year. She took a turn for the worst and was moved to Baptist Trinity Home Care & Hospice in Collierville. We can only take it one day at a time and try to prepare for what is yet to come. Can somebody please let me know what I missed and send me the notes. I also need to know what I need to do for my group project. I will do my best not to miss any more classes. Thanks a lot.
Rachel
Last Class Meeting

We talked a little about the exam and we got in our groups for the project. I'm excited about the group project in looking for information pertaining to my question. My group and I are getting things together so we can get the ball to rolling on finishing strong.
Exam

I am kind of nervous about our 1st exam coming up. She is a great teacher who brakes down the material and makes it interesting to learn new thoughts and ways of putting things, but trying to read the chapters as well I really don't know what to expect to see on the exam.
Study information from class...

I felt a bit more comfortable about the bullets I thought I was missing shortly after class began. When she asked 'Where did we leave off from the last class?' & started to recount all of the things we talked about. I feel really good about knowing that I did recieve what I thought I did but I'm still not sure of how it matches with the reading yet. However, she did say that most of the 1st exam was coming from the lecture &, as for now, I'm gonna hang my hat on that. See ya next class.
I was so glad we get out early. I was so glad to meet my new group members as well. I must say this class appear to be getting off to a slow start but hopefully it will pep up. I printed the syllabus and study guide, as we reviewed notes tonight, I was lost as to what we actually covered on the study guide. Did anyone else feel like this as well?
Tonight's Class

I agree with you Lakeisha. I have been prepared, pen in hand, to take notes during the class period.... BUT I have nothing to write down but a few tidbits of info. I hope the humor will get me through the test!!! It does seem as if the most critical information we will need to know will come from the text. Hopefully after the first test I will be familiar with our instructor's testing style and be well aware of what I need to take note of. The class is so interesting like everyone has said but I am yearning to see how the synthesis will be developed.
Class to Night

I am very eager to get to class to see what the professor has to offer us tonight and to see what material we cover. Although class is interesting I am not sure that very much of the actual material is being covered. So I am almost convinced the most of our test will be coming form the book. I agree that the lecture is quite funny, I am just not sure how informative it is.
Ready for another captivating class.....

Tuesday night, another class. I agree with LaTasha in some ways, it does seem like the study guide was posted on the screen but we didn't really follow it. However, we did get a lot of information. I am eager to see how the first test goes, and how much of the information is really from lecture and how much is dependant on the reading. I think we have some good discussions in class, but sometimes we do get off track or spend an excess amount of time on one subject. Only time will tell! See you all in class tonight.
My knowledge of this course has increasing by each class meeting. A lot of things I thought about race are the same but yet different. Each topic has caught my attention. For instant: 1.Human has a need for love and effection 2. All of our DNA is found in Africa. Learning these different things makes this course amazing.
