Blog Entries and Comments

Overview

The word blog is a combination of the words "web" and "log." They are generally used as public online journals interested in providing commentary, information, and often debate.

Our course blog is linked on the very top and bottom of the site or you can click here: "Course Blog Home."

To make a new entry you click on "make a new entry" and then in the top text field provide a title for your entry and in the bottom text field provide the content for the entry. When you are done click "Save" to post the entry.

To comment on an entry click the comments link on the bottom right of any entry.

Requirements

By the end of the quarter you are required to have contributed at least two entries to the course blog and to have commented three times on your classmates' entries.

Your entries should be, in some way, related to the material and subject of the class. Your goal is to provide at least one paragraph of commentary explaining the relevance of whatever you are discussing and your thoughts on it. You can post interesting links to articles or websites, a commentary on class discussion, a critique of a film (or any other media), an example of postmodernism, and so on and so forth. If you are curious as to what to write about, or want to run an idea by me before you post, feel free to do so.

5% of your course grade.
